The Board of Education is changing

the way it does business...

New Committee of the Whole meeting one week prior to the regular board meeting allows the public greater access to the board and its decisions.
Board discusses its committee work and agenda items in public one week before voting on issues.

Earlier this year, the board held a series of public meetings that featured budget presentations by building principals and district administrators.

About Us...

Switlik Elementary School was built in 1948 with money and land donated by Stanley Switlik, owner of Switlik Parachute Company. We are a K-5 school with about 950 students. Switlik's principal is Mr. Terrence Kenney and Vice-Principal is Mrs. Elaine Simpson. We are the home of the Panthers!
